The airline has increased its flight capacity on the Auckland–Tahiti route for the IATA  Winter season (Oct 2014 – Mar 2015) by introducing a third frequency from December 9, 2014 to March 31, 2015.

Departure/Arrival times of the 3 weekly flights will therefore be as follows:

From Tahiti  to  Auckland:
Tuesday: NZ 041 Tahiti 5:30pm – Auckland 10:25pm (Wednesday)
Friday: NZ 041 Tahiti 2:00am (morning) – Auckland 6:55am (Saturday)
Sunday: NZ 041 Tahiti 5:30pm – Auckland 10:25pm (Monday)

From Auckland to  Tahiti:
Monday: NZ 40 Auckland 10:00am – Tahiti 4:15pm (Sunday)
Wednesday: NZ 40 Auckland 10:00am – Tahiti 4:15pm (Tuesday)
Friday: NZ 040 Auckland 6:35pm – Tahiti 12:50am (Friday)

You may also note that for the IATA Summer 2014 season, Air New Zealand has already scheduled:

-Additional flights from Tahiti to Auckland every Tuesday on the following dates:
July 8, 15, 22, 29  and  August 5, 2014
-Aircrafts with higher capacities, Boeing 777-200 (replacing the Boeing 767-300 currently in service) on the following dates:
Sunday June 1, 15 and 22; July 6 and 13; Friday, July 4 and 11; October 10, 2014.

The Boeing 777-200 features 242 Economy class seats and 26 Business class seats/beds, that is 36 more seats in Economy and 4 more seats in Business.

This additional offer of increased flight frequency and capacity is another asset to French Polynesia and will help tourists plan their trip with greater ease and travel in the best conditions possible.
