The first Air Tahiti Nui aircraft has arrived!
It was with much pride and pomp that the Polynesian airline with the plumeria flower welcomed its first 4 Dreamliners on October 14th. A real upgrade thanks to this latest-generation Boeing 787-9 with, among other features, reduced noise in the cabin, quality ambient air, LED system for filtered light, dimmable electronic windows, turbulence mitigation, large HD touch screens, and high-speed internet.
Three classes (versus two on the current Airbuses) will now share the 294 available seats: the Poerava Business Class (30) with a seat that converts into a 2 meter long bed, the Premium Moana Economy Class (32) offering more legroom as well as more backrest tilt angle than in Moana Economy Class (232) an economy class designed especially for long-haul flights. Three new aircraft should round out this brand new fleet sometime in 2019.
